Fixed column widths for tables

Please note that fixing column widths increases viewing difficulty on mobile and smaller devices.

1. Select the column by clicking into a cell of the desired column and dragging down to select all the rows of the column.

If you cannot see the table options icon, expand the second row of the Rich Content Editor...
  1. Click the three vertical dots on the right of the row of icons to show the second row.
  2. The table options icon is visible on the second row.

2. Click the table option icon, then Cell, then Cell properties.

3. Edit the cell width (which applies to the column as you selected the column), then Save.

  1. You can use percentage (e.g. 20%, as shown below) or pixels (e.g. 30px). Percentage will vary the width based on the screen size. Pixels will maintain a fixed width.
  2. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for other columns. The column widths should add to 100%, if you are using percentage.

4. If needed, edit the table width.

Select the table.

Click the table option icon, then Table properties.

Set the table width. If you used percentage (%), this should be 100%. If you used pixels (px), it should be the sum of the column widths you set earlier.
